“This just got signed to AMC. The new big zombie series on AMC is expected to be this one right here,”
WHAT'S IT ABOUT? Welcome to New York City years after the undead plague has erupted—but just because Manhattan has been quarantined, don't think that everyone inside is safe! Not only do flesh-eaters roam within Manhattan, but there's another ancient predator about to take a bite out of the Big Apple! Plus: It's a terrorizing team-up in variant cover form when the Zombie Godfather unites with the Zombie King – Arthur Suydam!
The mini-series took place over 15 issues, which were released starting in January 2014 and ended in August of this year.
My zombies will never take over the world because I need the humans. The humans are the ones I dislike the most, and they're where the trouble really lies. - George A. Romero
Often called "Godfather of the Dead" Romero brought us the zombie that we know and love today. It all started with a little independent film called Night of the Living Dead which grossed $18 million internationally, Romero went on to make the Living Dead series.
